We warmly welcome you to visit us at the upcoming Photonics West Exhibition and Conference, from January 20–22, 2026, in San Francisco, at the Moscone Conference Center.
We will be at booth #1840.
Technica Optical Components (www.technicasa.com) and its wholly owned subsidiary Femto Sensing International (www.femtosensing.com) continue to grow.
Technica’s expanding product family of Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) based sensors now includes a wider range of Strain Sensors, Pressure Sensors, Displacement Sensors, Accelerometers, and new configurations of our T880 and T890 Series High Temperature Sensors rated to +1000C and, at the other extreme, our T860 Cryogenic Temperature Sensors and T213 Cryogenic Strain Sensors.
A wider range of FBG specifications are now within our wheelhouse of capabilities, and our production capacity has increased significantly in the last 6 months and will continue to increase in 2026.
Ask us if we can manufacture FBGs to your specifications.
On the instruments front, Femto Sensing International announces the release of our New M Series Portable Interrogator (M4P). The M4P is a solid-state tunable laser based economic commercial grade interrogator, featuring full spectrum and peak detect modes of operation. The M4P is optimized for both static and dynamic measurements of up to 30 Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) based sensors on each of its 4 channels. The M4P features a rugged field enclosure, a high resolution touchscreen, and an internal rechargeable battery.
We are also pleased to announce the release of our New M4-Mini Interrogator.
Measuring 10x10x4cm, the M4-Mini is our smallest form factor solid-state tunable laser-based interrogator.
Our family of rugged M Series Interrogators is used extensively in civil engineering, aerospace, marine, railways, roads, energy, nuclear, industrial, security, medical, and many other commercial applications.
We will present live demos of various Technica optical sensors and we will have interactive demonstrations of our newest Femto Sensing International M4P and M4-Mini interrogators. We will share best practices for achieving ultimate precision and repeatability measurements using our state-of-the-art FAZ Technology interrogators. We will show how to design ultra-low-cost optical sensing systems using our commercial M Series interrogators. Our Femto Sensing International interrogators can monitor most FBG sensors in the world but are optimized for yielding optimal performance when used with our various Technica FBG sensors.
