Installation Video for the T605 Mini Surface Pressure Sensor
Description
The T605 is a High Resolution High Sensitivity Single-Mode Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based Packaged Relative Pressure Sensor for operation from -2500Pa to +10,000Pa (~1.5PSI).
Available in a wide range of optical specifications. The patented novel transducer mechanism yields a reliable high resolution and high sensitivity optical sensor. Ready for direct use in many applications. The T605 small-profile self-adhesive pressure sensor handling and installation is fast, easy and intuitive. Delivers the advantages inherent to FBG sensors.
The T605 series Pressure Sensors are fabricated using licensed and proprietary state-of-the-art laser manufacturing technologies and product designs. The pressure sensor configuration specified herein is the most common configuration. Other pressure ranges are possible and can be customized under contract.
Key Features
High sensitivity fast measurements in various pressure ranges. The self-temperature compensated T605 uses at its core Technica’s precision manufactured micro 2-FBG sensing arrays which are then encapsulated using a novel packaging architecture for producing a transducer configuration that enables measurements at a rate from 1Hz to 5,000Hz with sensitivities down to 1Pa. Various standard pressure ranges available.
Excellent linearity. The proven opto-mechanical architecture of the T605 and the advanced processing techniques used in producing this sensor yield a simple transducer configuration with both high linearity (>99% RO) and low hysteresis (<1% RO).
Easy installation and ready to be daisy-chained. The T605 pressure sensors only require that the surfaces onto which they are to be mounted are clean. The sensors’ self-adhesive backing will provide the the rest. Well suited for projects that include the need to monitor pressures at one or many locations. Provided with double-ended fiber termination, for daisy-chaining a number of sensors in series, as ready to install arrays of various adjacent distances between the pressure sensing points and with a flexible number of sensors. Often daisy chained with other sensors, most commonly including T210-T218 for strain, T310-T330 for acceleration, and T810-T840 for temperature.
